I’m Vahid — a senior software engineer and AWS-certified solutions architect with 18+ years of experience building distributed systems.

What I do

• Design and ship resilient, distributed backend systems at scale.
• Cloud infrastructure, security, and performance engineering on AWS.
• Cost-aware architecture — making systems cheaper without making them worse.

How I got here

Over 18+ years I’ve worked across backend platforms and large-scale systems, moving from hands-on engineering into architecture and solutions work. I’m AWS-certified as a solutions architect, and I still like getting my hands dirty — whether that’s a Kubernetes cluster or the home network.

Outside of work

I read fantasy and mystery novels, dig into modern history and philosophy, and write the occasional blog posts. The engineering habit follows me home: my weekend tinkering tends to be network security and self-hosted infrastructure (see the IoT network post).
